Trap — the trench stand

One of entertainments of aristocrats of the middle Ages – clay shooting – becomes more popular every year. It is not surprising, for occupations firing there are no age limits and a floor. The trench stand or a Trap – one of its versions. Let’s understand together what is it? The stand has received the name from an arrangement of throwing machines. They are in a special trench before the shooting line. Other name – a Trap (– a trap) has come from English “trap” because initially as the purposes used the pigeons placed in traps. On the shooter’s signal the attendant pulled a lace and released “a live target”. There has passed time, traps have replaced with throwing machines. However their name and remained “Trap”, as well as the stand at which they are. What represents the trench stand? It is a rectangular site, on the one hand which five shooting places are located to the line. From the opposite side on all width of a site the trench with fifteen throwing machines is equipped. The operator managing these machines is behind shooters. At the trench stand it is fired on targets which fly with one speed, but diversely concerning the shooter (left, right and direct). It complicates and at the same time does more interesting and realistic firing of the smooth-bore gun.
