Compak Sporting

Compak sporting – the most popular type of sports and hunting firing (sporting) in Russia, it is possible because it is as close as possible to hunting. For the first time you hear about this type of firing? Then this article for you.

Were engaged in Sporting in England since the end of XIXV. Initially it was firing for training of hunters. In the territory in 60 hectares (!) with special relief the throwing machines imitating flight of different birds and run of hare were located. French have decided to combine all throwing machines on one site, much smaller by the sizes. From here also the name “compak” — compact, closely located without intervals has gone. In Russia compact спортинг it became known only since 1996.

The site for compak sporting represents rectangle of 25 m by 40 m. On the one hand are located to one line of 5 shooting places. Their numbering goes from left to right. Shooters take the places. Everyone breaks consistently at first the first target, then the second, and so to the fifth. Then shooters are interchanged the position, moving to the right. Transition of participants of firing happens at the command of the judge. At the same time results of shooters surely appear. Results of firing appear also after all series on all five places.
For safety each place is equipped with the special partitions which are not allowing to direct the weapon towards the neighbor standing close by. Usually on partitions “program” of firing is specified (order of giving of targets for this place). The program of number consists of 5 targets – single and doublets. Series consists of 25 targets.

Throwing machines (from 6 to 9 pieces) are located in free order and can be located on the earth, in hole, on the hill or on specially equipped tower. The main condition of their arrangement – safety of all attendees at site.

Targets move with interval 0-3 seconds. Initial feed speed of target makes near 36m/page. Color of target depends on surrounding situation and can be orange, brown or black.

The movements of targets are various:
•    Hijacking target
•    Left and right
•    Candles
•    To baht (the target which are developed in flight time)
•    Hare (the target imitating run of hare)
•    The flying targets
All these targets can move under different corners with the different height and speed that does firing unpredictable and interesting.

The cabin with the operator of targets is behind shooting places.

In compak sporting it is possible to use all types of smooth-bore weapon with long trunk not less than 66 cm and no more 12th caliber. It can be fired both from shoulder, and on straightway shot.
