SPORTING — SKEET SHOOTING. Features rules

Trap shooting — form shooting sports (other — shooting). Competitions in clay pigeon shooting are conducted on the open range. Shooting is conducted with shotguns shot on special targets-Skeet. In contact with even a few pellets in a plate, it shatters. Targets made of a mixture of bitumen pitch (the component used for the production of asphalt) and cement, and are thrown into the air using a special throwing machine.

Trap shooting is included in the program of the Olympic Games and is one of the oldest Olympic disciplines. The Olympic program includes competitions in three disciplines — Skeet (or Skeet), trench stand (or ladder) and double trap.

Sporting (hunting / shooting) is a rapidly growing mass sport. The trajectory and speed of the flying saucer variety — for hunters it’s native element. So on a normal site you can meet those targets “cross the dove”, “soaring Teal”, “flying partridge”, “flying pheasant” or “scatter rabbits”. If the clay pigeon shooting hunters will not be the leaders, the sporting athlete and the hunter are on equal footing.

The competition almost all the targets appear in pairs. It can be synchronous pair — when both plates simultaneously out of one or two throwing machines; split pairs — when the second plane crashes only after the first shot (also used with one or two throwing machines); and coherent pairs where the second target after the first takes off from the same throwing machine. Despite the fact that most of the competition offers a pair of targets, sometimes you may be offered a challenging exercise with one target, usually without limitations in the use of weapons (this means that one plate can produce two shots without the risk of penalty points).

The beauty of sporting — in a variety of targets. However, sporting is also one of the most demanding types of shooting sports. So, to break the one hundred plates with a hundred shots achievable in a round or trench stand, sporting such results are much rarer. Sporting is not yet an Olympic sport, but it is likely that soon it can be.

Terminology used in clay pigeon shooting:

The shot
– corresponds to firing one cartridge.

Counter target
— the target, with the direction of their flight “to the arrow”.

Whole body
— the concept includes a system of “shooter-arms”, in which there is simultaneous rotation of the arrow body (hips, torso, shoulders, arms holding a weapon, head) around its axis. This rotation is ensured by the active work of the knee, when slightly bent in knees legs. The radial displacement of the axis of rotation (reel side) is not allowed.

Duplet
— target submitted at the same time, flying towards each other (round stand) and parallel (double-trap).

Team
– a group that includes no more than 6 shooters shooting at the draw at the same time on the same site.

Left, straight, right-target
— target supplied for firing on trench stand.

Dead zone
— the distance flown by target with the moment of start till the first of the reaction arrow. Depends mainly on the individual psycho-physiological characteristics (simple motor reaction) of the athlete. The shooter is chosen individually, taking into account the influence of weather, technical conditions as well as their own functional state.

Throwing machine
– machine or machine for launching targets.

Target
– a clay plate.

The target of this “smoke”
— the defeat of the target centre scree fractions, with the coincidence of its size with the size of the target. This phenomenon is characteristic of shooting at the 8-room round stand.

Treatment target
— a strict sequence of actions, including the perception of the target, mounting, leash, access to pre-emption, shot with a gun to keep up speed.

Scree fractions
— the chaotic distribution of the fractions after abandonment of the charge of the trunks and to the loss of lethal force. Different uniform and non-uniform scree fractions, which are determined when shooting from a distance of 35 meters, paper sighting the target with the marked sectors, for counting the number of fractions in each sector.

Leash
— the movement of the barrels relative to the path of an imaginary, virtual or real targets with a view to developing training skills for its defeat.

The broken target
— is a target broken with the release of the propelling machine.

Series
– one series includes 25 targets which were shot on the same site.

Manapul
– acoustic apparatus, comprising propelling a machine for the sound of the voice arrow.

Timer
— automatic delay of departure of the target from 0 to 3 seconds after the shooter on a round stands.

Trajectory
– the direction of flight of the target in space.

The trench
– was deepening in front of the fire turn, where the devices.

Theft target
— the target, has its direction “from arrow”.

Preemption
— distance on the path, which flies the target up to the moment of his meeting with shot charge, since the shooter pressing the trigger. Depends on the flight speed of target, angle, speed directed by the shooter of the weapon. Vary horizontal and vertical preemption.
