Skeet — the round stand

The Skeet is the sport in which both shooters, and the audience derive pleasure. This type of firing received the name from the Norwegian word “skyte” (to shoot). The round stand (Skeet) appeared relatively recently – in 1915-1920. However this type of firing is more similar to hunting on the bird, than and won the popularity. Training at the round stand, hunters have the excellent opportunity to improve the skills: reaction, speed, accuracy. Since 1968 firing at the round stand is the Olympic discipline. Now competitions take place both for men, and for women. The modern site for firing in the Skeet represents the semicircle. On the opposite ends of the straight line at distance of 40 m two structures are from each other located: left (high — “tower”) and right (low — “box”). In them throwing machines are located. Targets move on constant trajectories and with set speed after the athlete’s signal. In this discipline both single, and doublet targets move (take off at the same time from both boxes towards each other). In one series of 25 targets. On the semicircle at identical distance seven shooting places are from each other located. The eighth place is in the center, directly between boxes. On the shooting site at the same time there can be no more than 6 people. Athletes pass from one place to another, firing under different corners. Ready posture of weapon can be made only after the plateau departure from the box. Up to this point the shooter holds the gun at the belt. The operator giving plateaus is behind the fourth shooting place. Still you doubt whether is suitable for you firing practice at the round stand why then not to specify the detail in the nearest shooting club, not to observe athletes, and, perhaps and to do some shooting most!
